Hi:

I have a 2003 Escape, V6. The day driving headlights have started to blink after a few minutes of running. When the headlights are turned on the blinking stops. The Ford dealership says to replace the module at $149.00.
Any other ideas? Could it just be bad day headlights?
What happened to good old days when the headlight relay was $9.98?

Thanks for any feedback..

I had that happen when I overloaded the circuit. You may have a short somewhere or corrosion at a contact point.

Try taking out the DRL module and checking the solder points. Sometimes they will crack in cold winter temperatures.

Where is the DRL Module located. I want to install one on my 05 Escape. Is it possible to retro-fit one on a US Escape?

I think the '05+ Escapes have daytime running lights controlled by the Smart Junction Box (SJB), which can be programmed by a willing dealer. No DRL module needed.
