im surprised you dont have one. where did you purchase your escape? i got mine up here in canada where we see -40 lol. check behind your bumper for a plug.

Well I live in Wichita, KS, but bought it new in Fort Walton Beach, FL....So I am not betting it has it...Question is, was it built with it and just needs the plug/harness?

I think only Canadian market Escapes had the block heater installed, and the wiring was a dealer-installed item. Never had to put one in myself so I am not sure what the process is - could just be removing a freeze plug and threading in a heater.

Minnesota has block heaters as a 'standard option'... but Michigan doesn't. At least the lower half of the Lower Peninsula...
