Is there some kind of replacement kit I can install to replace the piss-poor design and placement of my dead factory blower motor? I don't have $650 I can just pull out of my rear end to get it replaced, and I am getting my 3rd spinal surgery so I can't get on the floor boards and go through that stupidly complex replacement myself. When it quit working and I looked on YouTube for replacement instructions, I thought it was kidding when it said to first remove the ACCELERATOR PEDAL...then I noticed the video was 14 minutes long, and involved unplugging computer modules, removing multiple brackets, and some of the last words were "good luck getting to it". It seems some Ford engineer needs to be directly kicked in the boys for designing it like they did...because of course it's a fantastic idea to not put the darn thing where you can reach it. OBVIOUSLY it was just too hard to put it by the glove box like EVERY OTHER Ford I've ever owned. I'm not holding my breath, but I hope someone can present me a cost-effective option I can do with a bad back...winters comin!!!
