I have an issue where my brakes squeal everytime I back up. When I'm driving forward, I do not have the issue. Only when pulling out of my garage in the morning. The car only has 9k miles on it so it's still under warranty. I'm not finding a TSB on the issue and just wanted to find out if anyone else is having this issue?

You could call your dealership about it, but they will probably give you some BS excuse and say there's nothing they can do. If it bothers you enough, you can always pull the pads off and buy some brake squeal spray and spray it on the backs of the pads. Problem solved.

Could it be rust forming on the rotor surface after sitting overnight? The pads, from my understanding, scrape off the rust in one or two stops. That could be why you hear it only when backing up.

My best is rust. Take a look before you get in. Shin a little light through the wheel. This time of year with condensation in your garage it's going to happen.
