Ok, as some of you already know, I have a few, well lets say "Health Issues"
As part of my ongoing treatment, tomorrow I'm being admitted to our local dental hospital for 10 teeth to be extracted  , so I may be absent for a while.
Still, at least the "Ciggie Flipping hand" is still ok ;-|

"Get well soon ", from all of us Camus. :)

I sympathise with you.

##

Had major fillings done years ago.

Some root canals were removed.

**

They found three dead root nerves.

This was done by an orthodontist. :worry:

##

He extracted wisdom teeth also.

Basically, it was like major surgery.

My face, on both sides had a balloon effect.

___ _____

I told him my intention, was to feel absolutely nothing.

My pain tolerance is very low.

Upon my request, he gave me four needles. :stop:

____

This is because, after the third shot i still noticed things. :worry:

After needle four he prodded around.

He asked : " Does that do the trick?."

" You should not, be feeling anything by now."

###

By this time i could not speak.

So my language, was sounds and nodding of head.

So after shot four, my reply for yes was "AAAH! AAH!"

***

His reply was something like:

" Excellent! That's good" " Do not want, my patient to be in agony"

" This is what, aenesthetics are all about"

I nodded with head, that my face was totally numb.

____ _

The orthodontist, then commenced his surgical procedures.

Thanks for the comments :thumb:

Been on the waiting list for well over a year for this work to be done, so I'm glad that the day has finally arrived.

Thankfully, the dental work is being done FOC, because the Dental Hospital in Leeds is part of the University of Medicine, the downside is that the work is being done by trainee dentists, (hopefully under supervision), and the removed bits are then kept by them for up to 10 years, for training and research purposes...............

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Take care Camus, I think you have me beat. No small feat. I have given up four wisdom teeth, and five molars. The rest aren't very well off either. All the result of non-flouridated water and a teenage illness that left the enamel weak and prone to decay. :bang:

Ah well, back home now.

They could only remove 5 today, so back in next Wednesday afternoon for the next 5 to be extracted......................

Right hand side of mouth is very swollen, and painful, plus every time I open my mouth, I can taste, and see blood :(

Camus, when our daughter had her widom teeth surgically removed, the Dentist instructed us to apply an ice pack. You might want to try that, although he said NOT to leave it on continuosly. I hope that you were given some decent pain meds.
Take it easy!
