Not happy here, spent just over 4 hours this afternoon on cleaning the Maverick, then polishing it, and guess what, on a trip to Leeds with the family, it started to :censor: rain heavily. :wall: :wall: :wall: :cuss: :censor:

Why did I bother,

law of SOD strikes again

Here lately it has been way too cold to wash a vehicle. I like having mine clean, but I'm not gonna freeze. I filled up today and then ran it through a car wash. Doesn't look near as good as it would if I had cleaned it myself, but will have to do.

The rain is nothing compared to the mixture of moisture, road grime & salt kicked up by other cars. I washed my van on Wednesday, by Friday, you'd never have guessed it had been washed since Christmas! :wall:

Don't know why i had it detailed. Drove along a dirt track, at our government state forest. So now it has a coating of dust. Was trying to find a suitable background for photos. Everything is so dry and looks stagnant. Could not find any shade.

This is why, i ventured over to the forest rangers house. At least the escape interior is presentable. I took a lot of car photos, at different zoom levels. Hello Colleen. :) In context of your request, shall attempt some australian countryside scenic photos. The zoom lens has been connected, for long distance scene photos. The escape will be excluded.

There are some areas i have in mind. The ' Barossa Valley ' wine region. Cleland and waterfall gully. There are reasonably, pleasing on the eye villages in the barossa wine district. Lyndoch, Nuriootpa, Tanunda, Angaston. This approaching week end shall be practical. I will have a sicky on monday, because it will be a public holiday. :) :yahoo:

Shall only take shots of country scenes, that i consider as picturesque. :) Will refrain from washing the car. It would be futile. I might have to explore a few country dusty unsealed roads, to find the scenes i am interested in. Regarding our australian climate, yes our cars do not stay clean for a long time. When it is not raining as in a dry period, the other dilemma is dust and plenty of insects.
