There was talk of the Cheri being imported into Australia earlier this year.
Haven't heard anything more about them, so maybe it fell through. I think their car scored a 0 on the 5 star safety rating which would deter a lot of buyers even if they are cheap.

I wouldn't buy a 0 for 5 car or for that matter any car that scored under 5 in a safety rating. I held off on buying the Tribute till they got a better rating here. Used to be 4 star for the driver. Cheri needs to be screened thoroughly, as any car from China should be. They are not the Japanesse, someone that would loose face if it was determined that their product was inferior. Chinese don't care. Different line thought, totally.
