I bought that for a friend, I installed it for him & it's working super.
My setup already has more features than that carputer did (I have both Sirius & XM W/traffic & weather, DVD, Mp3, two different NAV systems I can switch between, Bluetooth, BU camera & a killer stereo.
He has some of that, but not all (although the puter definitely has a certain "coolness" to it that nothing else really has........)

I was thinking with the Carputer, if you were to get a Bluetooth dongle for it, you could connect to your wireless phone via bluetooth as a modem and get on VZW's wireless network. High speed internet in your dash really had my eyes googly. That thought gets me all excited.

i know that with bell you can purchase a "cell phone" you plug it into your Ethernet port on your computer and it has a number assigned to it and you get internet wherever you can get a cell signal for about $60/month

Yup VZW has a similar option. I was able to hack something in my phone though that allows me to do it for free
