Music man So far working on my escape I have found that the biggest gains I've had were to put an intake on it. Not only did my MPG increase but so did the throttle response. This made my 2.3 wake-up and be a fun SUV to drive. Not only is it fuel efficient but its got a little zip, and Im not stopping there. Some important things to keep in mind are that the escape's parts are very expensive for what you get out of them. Weapon R makes an intake for your year, its expensive but its a step in the right direction. If you feel a little daring and are mechanically inclined try looking at the Make your own cold air box for $15 dollars page on this site, You can see where many have made there own boxes and intake set ups. Good luck and happy tuning! :thumb:

$726 is probably a decent price for a set of good quality headers. I'm not sure on the quality from these guys, i've never dealt with them. However i believe these would be a low volume possibly even hand assembled part. I have hand built headers from scratch for high end race cars that took a few days just to make the jig to assemble them on. I also sometimes look at a given item and think man those are expensive, in the cases where i can relate to i can see the costs involved and think that is a decent price. How much would you want for a set of headers if you were trying to sell them?
