So...I was get out of my car after getting home from work and my neighbor was in his drive way, by himself. I heard him say something, didn't quite catch it, so I didn't want to be rude and I responded with "Hey, how's it going, have a good day at work?" He said something else :shrug: and I said "How are you?" Then looking at me and still talking he points to his tiny bluetooth ear bud that I didn't notice. :doh: I felt like an idiot.

We've never had internet, but we canned Dish network two weeks ago and didn't pick anything else up.

I was sitting in traffic last Friday and a woman was hanging her marlboro out the window...and as I went around her I notice she was on the PHONE too. Which you can now get ticketed for now in CA.
Steering with the marlboro and talking on the cell with the other, some people... :rant:

I even have the internet on my phone. Now if the cell service goes out!!!!!!!!!!!! :shock: :shock: :shock:Colleen said::shock:
I feel for you !! I guess that if you never had them then you don't miss them.
When our internet or satellite goes down, the withdrawl is excruciating !

I have internet at home, work and on the cell.
So yeah, at the moment I have a cellphone. No house phone, and the cable with the home internet is about to get canned. I would drop the cell as well, but there is no house phone now. Seems the phone company can not keep the service working for more than 24 hours at a time. So two years ago I got the cell phones. It actually saves us money. Go figure. :shrug: Cells are also more reliable than the local phone company... ;-|

I don't have a cell phone. Down under ,we refer to them as mobile phones. It doesn't bother me. The house phone is used. Quite aware ,a cell phone would be handy in an emergency. Just could not be bothered.
Also i am being cautious with my budget. Car loan is almost paid off. The " Qosmio " is my only other commitment. Fortunately i am not on a mortgage. Just have no desire to stress the envelope. Can appreciate that cell ( mobile) phones have their advantages. I do not have a vast number of friends. My circumstances do not justify the expense.
But then not desiring, to have a cell phone is my personal preference. I am on ADSL1 Broadband internet at home. That is something i will definitely not can.
