I have a 2019 Ford Escape S the information displays these items with the key in start position engine idling.
Upper left temp upper-right time and the in the middle of the last line the date 07/05/2022. I can change the time by depressing the CLOCK button. I can not find a way to change the date. Also, the MENU button does nothing when depressed. Talked to 4 Ford people by phone and their solution was to take it to a dealer. Surely there is an easy way to accomplish changing the DATE! Thank You

The date is 7-5-22… I am a little confused
Your radio probably receives a satellite, or cell signal for the radio time.

have you tried to hard reset? Disconnect your battery for 15 seconds, touch the terminals- not the posts
Reconnect your battery.

Thanks for the info. I have not done that. Strange none of the Ford Techs mentioned that. In fact they just passed me to someone else and finally suggested taking it to a dealer.

I am still curious why you wanted to change the date… Is it in the wrong time zone or something?
You may need a 'forscan' tool, to be able to change what you were wanting to... it may also be preset corresponding to the build date

You know I thought it was meant to be the current date but maybe it is dating something another date. Whatever I can not find any reference to what it represents and Ford folks did not offer any help.

Yes, that one, the one with the vehicle, and search the internet with various combinations of questions and finally started this thread. Call my salesman who sent me links to what I had already reviewed and was not as eager to help as he was to make the sale LOL! It is such a minor item but now it is a challenge to find the answer(s)! Now the (MENU) button below the radio may be associated with the SYNC system and all the gadgets that can be used like MEDIA, PHONE, and etc. Thanks for your suggestion!

Never seen the date displayed in the message center in the instrument cluster. Not seen it in the SYNC/backup camera display either.

While I almost always have mine set to show trip1/2 and show all the details, and my wife likes the digital speedo, I couldn't find date in any of them.

Is it still showing 7/5/2022 or is it updating?

Can you post a picture of it?

This isn't the "dealer"/"diag"/"test" mode right?

It is the one that below that say Trip 1 with temp, cruise on/set speed, odometer, gear selector, direction, and optionally overview with what lights are on?

I need to make some updates. The MENU item I solved. Just turn the radio on then MENU displays options. "dah" I don't have pictures of the date at the bottom of the screen being updated but today when I started the vehicle to take the attached image it reflects 05/31/2019. Sounds like it might be the manufactured date perhaps. Well, I must say it has been fun chatting with you guys but it appears no issue and I am just going to drive our new SUV and enjoy it!
