I think you're talking about the child seat tether points.
ive use mine lol, and ya they are the 3rd spot for the new latch system, if you flip up the bottoms on your back seats you will see some metal loops, they are for the bottom latches.

FMVSS 225 S6 requires vehicles manufactured after September 1, 2004 have tether anchors able to withstand 10,000 N (2248 lbs), although that only has to be maintained for one second. Vehicles before September 1, 2004 need to withstand 5300 N (1192 lbs).

you could use it for a couple hundred pounds, but its only designed to take one time abuse shock load. and thats not straight down either, its the sheer strength of the bolt thats the important part. when in an accident my son's 5 point harness will keep him in his seat, the seat will stay where it is, using 2 anchor points that are located between the top and bottom portions of the seat where they meet, on a downward angle, and a third anchor point (the one in the roof). on an upward angle. if you want i can take some pictures of the seat locked in.

I have those :censor: clip things in my Maverick, but in the UK they are redundant, as mini-me seats can only be fastened down by seatbelts, and ISOFIX points, if fitted.

However, I've found that the clips are fantastic for bashing your head against :censor: :cuss: , and, when (un)loading the boot, and can fly quite a distance, should you catch one when loading a fridge freezer into the car boot

AAAAH! I am not sure what my height is. It is definitely not on the tall side. Possibly classed as average. Can imagine ,there are certain benefits in lack of height. As regards previous factory jobs, i would have liked to have been taller.

Not sure if it is related to my height, but have not banged my head on those rear cargo bay clips.
