I voted for Escape, but I would say either that or V6.

As far as my vote is concerned, I voted for 4x4. But either 4x4 or V6 I think would work.

The reason I didn't like Escape is I don't you have enough real estate to fit all those letters in.

I'd put the factory Ford emblem in the center, but I'd add the factory V6 emblem just where Ajax has his.

Does anyone know a place where I can find these same letters but in BLACK instead of chrome?

I'd just get them in chrome and paint them yourself.

FYI my actual inspiration for that emblem was from (believe it or not) the offset Ford logo of the 80s and 90s Ford Escort GTs. I always liked that grill....

Jhande08, my friend painted his chrome Mustang emblem with tint spraypaint. I'm not sure if I actually liked the look BUT it did come out good. It's available at some paint or autobody stores for about $10

What if I took the ESCAPE lettering and tinted them and put them to the left of the license plate, like in the '08's? How do you think that would look?

That would look cool I think. Make sure you use a ruler to line them up or they'll be crooked.

Or how about a new chrome Escape emblem, all one piece from an 08, and tint that?

Meaning the ESCAPE lettering on the front bumper, next to the license plate...

If I were to tint them, do I need to rough them up first before I tint them?

I'll get the info on how to tint from my friend.... don't some of the 08 Escapes have a one-piece badge with Escape embossed into it? I may be thinking of Explorers...

That would be awesome. Could you let me know soon so I could order the ESCAPE lettering?

How would I go about mounting something like that?

The tint spray: My friend did a fine sand of his Mustang pony emblem on the grill (500 grit emory cloth), then put on a few coats of tint spray, then clear coat. Unfortunately, now it's chipping off. He also tinted some of his Volvo badges but hasn't installed them, so I guess the tint theory isn't 100% tested and approved.

THe 08 Escape badges are a single piece of aluminum or plastic, with the word Escape embossed into them, easy to install with good double sided tape.
