I thought I could hear running water, but kept trying to clear the rear screen (I thought maybe the nozzle was just iced up). Then The Wife notices a puddle of water appearing in the drivers footwell. :(

Looks like it's off to the Dealer for a bit of TLC.

I had that happen a few months back, the cure is simple, just root around the area by the o/as lower front door hinge (approx where the carpet trim finishes), and you will find the connector between the rear washer pipes, connect them back together, and its fixed :yahoo:

Or you can do what I did and just take the rear wiper off and plug the hole!! :calvin:

Rear wiper off and plug the hole. AAAH! No thanks. I love my rear wiper and washer. It is not used excessively. Only when i deem it as being necessary. But then i just love extra gadgets. This may sound odd, but i like the image it presents on rear window. To me it looks cool bananas and so professional.

I periodically remind dear mother, that i can't help being peculiar. Her reply to me is ' Oh! I have known that for years . Sometimes i wander who is more nutty. Your dad or you ' :)  :D  But mum says it with a smile ,because i know she means well.

Wish mine was that easy, the Expedition gave my daughter (sitting in the 3rd row) a shower one day! Guess the line froze one winter, several days at near 0, I'm sure I didn't have the really good stuff in it. So somewhere in the headliner I'm sure is a split hose, I'll get a round tuit one of these days

Here is what you are looking for, it's the pipe thats almost in the centre of the picture, about 10cm long, to get your bearings, the accelerator pedal is to the left of shot, hope this helps

In Britain, the vast majority of Ford dealers refuse to acknowledge that the Maverick ever existed  , indeed the last time I visited Benfield Ford, in Leeds, the service dept asked whether the 2003 Maverick was a 3, or 5 door model :wall: :wall:

My Tribby doesn't even have a rear washer! Just wiper :( I WISH it had a washer!!
Oh and one of these days I need to get around to sticking something in the right...thing (dispenser ?)... that pumps out windshield washer fluid. It's clogged

Seems strange that, having a wiper, but no washer

On our Mavericks, it's the little black "dot" to the right of the central brake light, viz.....

As for the windscreen washers, mine kept getting clogged up, ended up replacing them

All fixed. :yahoo:

Yeah, it was a simple case of the rubber hose coming adrift from a small plastic connector. Only issue I had is the accessability. It's quite tricky getting both hands up there to reconnect it. It's on, but not as 'on' as I'd like.

Oh well, if it happens again at least I'll know exactly what I'm dealing with.

*Pic was great Cam, once I got my bearings. :kneel: :thumb:

how weird! had exactly the same issue about a week ago but had completely forgotten to investigate it - cheers!! Didnt get as far as a puddle but heard a trickle of water in that area and decided to refrain from any more squirts! will nip and do it tomorrow :)

maybe its the cold weather we've recently been having over here??
