I shall eventually upgrade the computer one day. This will be maybe a few years from now. Not sure if i want a lappy with a larger display or a kick butt desktop system. You are quite welcome to submit opinions or any recommendations. :bump: Oh!! Fancy that another posting up the sleeve. :angel: :shrug: Getting there in stages. I have a long way to catch up but never mind. :bust: :taz:

If you don't need a computer when you go places, get the desktop. If you do need it while traveling, I'm thinking a laptop maybe the best of the two.

I am partial to laptops myself. They offer ease of use and portability.

However, desktops are cheaper so if you don't need the portability..... eace:

Couldn't live without my laptop, but I am an internet addict and will go to great lengths to get online no matter where I am !! :lol:

Hubby uses my old laptop. We also have a desktop, our son has a desktop, and our daughter has a laptop.

I have a powerhouse desktop to do things like gaming and video editing but then I have my laptop for portable use like internet browsing and web processing. If you have the funds available...i recommend doing that!

I haven't checked out the Toshiba Qosmio as yet. They have released it with an 18 inch display.

I'm personally a desktop person. I do a bunch of gaming, fiddle with new programs, and it's too expensive to own a laptop and a desktop. Nor do i need a laptop anywhere else. If i need to look something up on the internet while i'm out, I have my phone for that now. It's a Samsung Instinct. So i can view full html just as it is on a PC. Sometimes there is java, flash, etc. but i can usually work around that (either it's not supported or i can't install it because i haven't tried hard enough ).
