I am 99.9 % positive that ANY aftermarket HU will need a harness adaptor. Not sure about the NAV compatibility.

Give Crutchfield a call. They can answer your question and point you in the right direction.

Well I knew about that adapter, but I meant more so not having to do any type of modifications. I know the new radio would have a radio adapter and you could get one to hook into factory so no cutting. But I am looking for something that will replace it without mods.

Thanks for the advice.

I pulled my stock Mach 300 headunit and replaced it with a Kenwood DNX 7100. Several months later I replaced everything else.
I assume you had the factory sub and amp. Where you able to still use the same stuff without any mods or anything of that nature?

Thanks.

Because you are asking a question that has already been answered, yet you did not see it.
Stock is stock, and aftermarket is aftermarket. They do not play well with each other. If you want to not "mod" anything, stay stock. If you want something better, get the wiring harness and adapters you need, and plug-and-play with aftermarket.

Are there any replacement radios out there that will replace the escape NAV unit without having to use a kit and be able to keep the stock amp, sub, and speakers? Thanks.
Basically the answer is no. There are no direct replacements, that I'm aware of, for the Escape.

There is a maker of direct replacement HU's on Crutchfield but their selection is limited. They do not have anything for the Escape.

I figure this is because you asked about something that doesn't exist...

Because you did not see my response. I said I know about the adapters, but I do not want to have to cut the dash or anything. So before you go trying to tell me to read, you read what I have said and all is well.

If you mean: Are there any 1.75DIN replacement units out there, the answer is no. That is a Ford idiot original. You would have to go with a 2DIN unit, that requires a dash mofdification to fit the larger unit or one of the adapter kits that accommodate a single-DIN unit and fill the rest of the space with a storage pocket. The only Nav units I am aware of for a single-DIN opening have a motorised screen.
