Last weekend I took my 1976 Alfa Romeo Alfetta for a ride through northern Italy. I joined the Transaxle Tour, which took us 1.000 km over mountains and B-roads. The ones with the challenging bends, great views, the long fast straights and obviously no traffic. It really was driving heaven!

We just returned from our vacation. It was in Tennessee and the Smokie Mountains. Nothing like the Alpine freshness you experienced thought! :p

Smoky Mountains > Plains of Kansas

We are going to the Ozarks (Branson) for the 4th, but we won't be driving the Mariner.

Thanks for watching! It was great fun but driving 1000km like that on one day in a 33 years old car without air condition is also very exhausting! When I finally arrived at home, I fell asleep . :boring:

I want to ride my bicycle on those roads. Well, not when you are driving on them though! :yahoo:
It looks quite faster than it was because the camera was mounted on the front bumper, only a few inches above the ground. No biciclettista - as the italians call a biker - was hurt during the making of the film. "Loud pipes save lives."
