Just spoke with Sync Support. Can't speak for other model years beside my 2011, but I asked them if AppLink was coming to our Escapes:

you: I just purchased a 2011 Escape not long ago, it's well known it's getting a full redesign next year - will I get carried forward or will I be left in the dust?

Chauntay: The rollout schedule has not been released to us at this time.

Chauntay: I can check to see if we have any information on the future availability of this product for your vehicle.

Chauntay: Please hold one moment while I research your concern. This may take up to 3 minutes.

you: Thanks, please take your time.

Chauntay: Thank you.

Chauntay: I have spoken with my support, they have verified that the Applink feature will be available on the 2011 Escape in the future.

Anyone else excited? I figured only the new generation vehicles (Fiesta, Taurus, etc.) would be carried forward. This is great given my Pandora addiction.

The only downside: no timeline given.

I'm really looking forward to this, but I hope they create an application for Windows Phone 7 as well - seeing how this is Microsoft Sync, I'm surprised they are being left out. Aside from this, my Samsung Focus works great with Sync.
