Hi,
I have just bought a towbar for my BA Escape from a wrecker "with all bolts and fittings" and after much studying, musing, and thinking I cannot see how it can possibly fit. :shrug:
It has Mazda on it so is obviously from a Mazda Tribute.
Will a Mazda Tribute towbar fit an Escape?

Year and model would help. Maybe engine and tranny info too!

I personnally, do not know. Does it have mfg. info on the towbar? Have you done an online search to check it out? Maybe they can cross reference this information to verify.

Good thinking. It is a 2002 Ford Escape 3L v6, mechanically the same as a Mazda Tribute but with different body panels. There is a Mazda part number on the towbar, I will search further online. Thanks for your suggestion.

If it's from a 2001-2004 Tribute, it should fit a similar year Escape.
2005-2007's are slightly different.
Plus if it's an OEM part, those we welded in 1 1/4". Maybe you have an aftermarket one?
