Looking around my parking lot I see one... mine. But then again we only have 6 parking spaces so that's a pretty good percentage :D

While driving around the parking lot at my job looking for a spot I counted 10 Escapes and three Mariners in the lot.
Sounds about right. Very popular where I live. I always have to park next to one. I figure they can discuss owners while I'm out shopping.

Most people either have ford rangers, F-150s, Mitsubishi montero sports or ford escapes around in this tiny town...I know at least 7 people who work at walmart who have at least one, but i know one person who has 3 Mazda tributes.
It's interesting that most of the escapes here are all "current" models (2008+)
I couldnt agree more with the statement that there should be more aftermarket support...since 2001, Ford made nearly 3 MILLION of these vehicles world wide and there is ultra-little aftermarket support....these things are sleepers.

We have a Tribute, my Sister in law has one, her husband is getting one, two folks across the street have one each...and so on.

No aftermarket? I don't know that the owners of this type of machine typically buy aftermarket acrutrements for anything they own. Just the fact that you are on this site shows that you are atypical for the mini Ute. Personal opinion here, I think that most folks buy them, drive them, repeat after four or five years with another new one. Not alot of love, just a simple small utility meeting a modern on the go persons' needs. :bill:

Escape are everywhere in Omaha. I tell my one friend they are going to take over the world haha. At the school I work for we have 3 Escapes and a Mariner out of 40ish ppl who work at the school. Then on my college campus I pull in the garage and I see numerous ones and our campus security drives Escapes haha. Love it! :yahoo: I also park Ean by them so he can socialize hehe one of the teachers with an Escape told me that her Escape doesn't feel loved because it sees Ean and all his pretty mods and how much he is loved and she just drives her Escape haha. Poor thing. I told her she should atleast name it but we are still waiting for that.

In my garage in NJ, I have seen a handful of Escapes, a couple Mariners and one Tribby.

Not too bad. Escapes are pretty popular here in the Northeast, especially older model (01-05-ish) Escapes. Of course you have the Hybrid Escapes that dawn the yellow NYC Taxi Emblem, but there seem to be more new model Honda CRV's out on the road around me, which I don't get personally as they look like an ugly space ship to me.

Escapes and Tribs are crazy popular in Charlotte NC. I notice them I guess since I drive one but after I read the posts I took more notice and counted 15 in a 30 min span. I wonder where all the Xterras went they were everywhere here a year or so ago. Still see lots of the Lexus suvs around.
