 So happy there are other cool people who love their Escapes! And Tributes/Mariners!I catch hell from people all the time!Especially when I call my Escape a truck!
I Love it!Ajax said:Yea, I get complaints from the full size truck people too about calling it a truck. I said, "Sorry, you're right it's not a truck. It gets better gas mileage, handles better and is faster than a truck." (Mostly true anyways lol) But damnit, Ford sure made it look like a truck! I do try to call it a crossover, to keep the local ******** happy.
 maybe if you drove a Vitara...camusdarrach said:My work :censor: colleagues call my Maverick the "Barbiemobile"..............................

We paid plenty, but it's a Utility vehicle, and my wife uses it as one too! It isn't much for getting groceries, but it's been to the Nursery for garden supplies, the lumberyard for my m-i-l needing some planks, my son borrowed it to haul some dirt in! That last one tripped my trigger. We do have a pickup! And he does have a PT Cruiser beater that he could have used! Sheesh! The humanity!BurghBeagle said:We love our Escape, and I call it "the truck" all the time. Mainly because my daily driver is a 2002 Chevy Cavalier and it doesn't qualify. Unlike some people, I actually use ours as a utility vehicle...I have hauled sod in it among other things because for as much money as we paid for it...I'm using it to haul things!
When I hauled dirt and sod in mine, I just put a tarp over the cargo area and I hauled everything down the hill to the common dumping area next to my property. Only a few pieces of dirt ended up on the carpet and my trusty shop vac took care of it! Still looks new except for all the dog hair!jonas1022 said:We paid plenty, but it's a Utility vehicle, and my wife uses it as one too!
