 does anyone have an extended warranty on your new escape ?

my escape is 1 week old (to me) and found 2 minor problems already.(before
the purchase),small dirt under the paint, but you can feel it (wet sanded out) and the center console arm rest will not open unless you beat it up :( ,they have to replace the whole thing(waiting on part)...
i have a bad feeling about the future reliability of this car  :(

Hopefully it wasn't assembled, by the " Happy Tree Friends " characters of ' Mondo mini shows '. :) My extended warranty has expired by now. I do sympathise with how you feel.

It is early days yet for your new escape. Within my first year of warranty, my brand new escape had the central processing unit replaced. That black box computer in engine bay had a malfunction. My dealership replaced with a brand new CPU under warranty. Then my abs sensors malfunctioned, and they were changed over free of charge, within the warranty policy.

Yes, have to admit i was not a happy chappy. It would be nice if brand new cars were perfect. We are entitled to quality satisfaction, because our cars are expensive enough. But unfortunately for some of us, there allways manages to be some type of glitch.
i just purchased fords extended service plan for my 08....if you are under 12k or 15k...cant remember...you save $100. and i got mine while they had a promotion where u saved $185 off any of them. they have all sorts of options to buy and are very realistic. the one i did was 5yr/100,000k...and pretty much bumper to bumper for $900 (w/ a $200 deductible). u can get less deductibles...but i figured if it was less than that i would do it myself, and if not then it would be more than $200 so it would be worth it. http://www.fordwarranty.com/ in case u wanted the site.
