Hey guys I am about to buy some 235/70/16 Destination's for my Escape. Not really a fan of the Conti's so I went looking on TireRack and the Destinations are #3 on the list compared to other A/T tires! I conned Firestone Complete Auto Care up the road to give them to me for $388.92 installed!! What do you guys think? Anyone have any experience with these tires? Thoughts?

No experience with them, but I have noticed them on other SUVs. Usually as a replacement tire and they look good, an agressive to me tread pattern. How's the noise level from them? We drive our Tribbie on pavement 99.99% of the time, so blocky treads and noise are not of interest to us. Please tell us how the mpg and ride are with the new treads, too Scott.

Pretty good price. They are 16 inchers, right? We get to pay a little premium for a slightly larger wheel than what my old F-150 has, 15 inch wheels.

For comparision, I just paid $320 at Discount Tire for 4 Road Huggers on the pickup. Real quiet, and very sticky for pavement.

I don't consider what your paying to be out of line, and like you say. Your stealing them. I think the last A/T tires I priced were over $400 before all the nasty add on charges.

Well I first went to get these installed on Sunday. 10 minutes after I drop it off I get a call from them...the wrong size was delivered so they asked me to come pick up the Escape and call back the next day to confirm the order again. I called Monday, and they gave me an additional discount for my inconvenience :) So final price was $342 installed....can't beat that!!

The tires look very agressive compared to the Contis....AND NO ROAD NOISE!!! I couldn't believe how quiet it sounded going home....love them so far! Can't wait to test them out in the snow. I just found my camera last night so I will try to get pictures soon.

I'm glad you asked!! I was actually up in Chicago this weekend and they got quite a bit of snow and I was able to test them out. I can say for sure that they are 1000% better in the snow than my Conticraps were. Also on the trip up there the ride is sooo much quieter than normal. The only outside noise I hear is my exhaust :)

I'm loving these tires and at a net cost of $241 I can't be it!!

I swear by my Destinations :D
You haven't had them in snow yet...and might not but still these things rocked. The plows had pushed snow to basically bury me against the curb at my brothers condo...didn't stop these tires from crawling right out
