So i have a 2008 escape limited 3.0L the electronic power steering went. No surprise there I ordered the torque converter sensor put it in the power steering works fine. but everytime i start my vehicle on the message display it says power steering assist fault. i cant clear the code on my scanner so i tried a better scanner as mines not great couldnt do it on that one either. i can hit the rest button on dash it disapears till next time I start it. anyone know how to get rid of this "Fault"

You may need to relearn the steering angle sensor. You will need a scanner with bi-directional capabilities.

thanks not sure where i will be able to find one of thoes as i just moved to a new city but atleast its something i can look into
