So 7 months now and you are still waiting for an answer?
Did you end up taking it to your dealer or local mechanic to get them to diagnose your problem?
I checked the old post and there were some great possible answers. Hard to diagnose your problem on a forum board though.

It is a 2001 engine.
The oil pump seems to work fine, yet.
The idling at stop is questionable and may be the cause.Needs to be checked with a scanner.
Check the oil pressure sending sensor for contamination.Unplug it, clean it, put some dielectric compound and plug it back.
Good luck and keep us posted.

I had a similar problem on a Windstar.....intermittent oil light going on and off. In my case, the oil pressure was within spec. Replacing the oil pressure sending unit cured it (those darned Ford engineers buried it under the alternator). The unit was also leaking like a sieve.
