While the news is great, I would like to see smaller profits over a course of time. Sustained growth for the company is far better and easier to manage than these big, random bursts of profits.

True story, and it's only for the quarter. That and everything is speculation plus a little of overreaction.

I think they are attempting to send a message to stock holders. That is, "We are profitable, wouldn't you like to take a bigger chance?" In other words, reinvest in us, we have things to do and need your money to get there. You will recieve a return on investment.

I believe that's the only way to talk to Wall Street. Public pronouncements are merely heresay. Demonstrating the profit in the future now, gets them what thy want in the long run.
