Exactly. And since cell phones are very personal things, this lets anyone buy the latest and the greatest, and it still works with their cars.

that seems like a great idea. i currently would have to be able to reach my phone or my garmin if i was in an accident to make a call.

Same here. I have always liked the Onstar concept, but I'll be damned if I'm paying ANOTHER monthly fee on top of my Verizon cell bill.......
