I have a 2010 Escape front wheel drive. it has started to develop what I can only describe as a wobble. Whena t low speeds it feels like there is resistance on the wheel that is tied to rotation. There is no shaking of the car but it's almost like I'm giving very slight breaking that goes on and off. The faster the wheels turn, the faster it goes. The brakes and rotors all look fine, same for the wheels/tires. My suspicion is a bent axle, but I've not had any collision or other incident that would have bent it, and the wobble has slowly gotten progressively worse. At high speeds the wobble sort if drowns out in feeling and there's a humming sound. I can't determine if it's only on one side or both. From researching it, it sounds like a carrier bearing, but I do not have a rear driveshaft. Could there be something with the transmission that could cause this or should I focus the attention on the CV axles themselves? Or might this be something else that I'm not considering?
