I want to upgrade my fuel injectors in my '03 V6 escape to something larger...
Does anyone have suggestions for that?

i would not suggest it, but if you do you will need to reprogram your computer or install an X-cal. the amount of fuel is proportional to a lot of inputs.

I was looking at larger injectors so that when, in the near future, I have an x-cal, it will be able to take advantage of the bigger injectors.
I realise that the stock computer won't do anything with them, I just want to be ready for tuning, and hopefully, some "artificial atmosphere."

The stock injectors can handle anything coming through the stock naturally asperated intake system, even with the xcal tuning. The biggest thing the xcal does is timing (advance) and transmission (shift pressures and scheduling). You would be wasting the cash unless you force induct.

That's a good point, and while I really, really want FI, the "artificial atmosphere" is still a little ways off.

They are just under the intake manifold. It takes about 15 minutes for an experienced hand to get there. Depnding on whether you need to splice new plugs onto the harness it can take an hours or two for the whole job. But you also have to tell the PMC of the change with an xcal type tuner or it will think it still has lower flow nozzles.

14lbs that crazy, when my buddy and i did the turbo install on his car we ran 5psi boost and only an extra 10lb injectors. adding 14lb to a stock engine i think would clog the crap outta your cat because you wont be able to burn that much fuel. you have to remember that you need to keep stokyometric (my spelling is crap lol) ratio of 14.7-1 air-fuel. thats the most efficient way to burn all of the fuel you put into your engine. if at 16lbs your engine is running at 14-1 then you almost double that 14-2. you have made a very inefficient engine. and i bet your would get fuel washout on your cylinders. save up, and do all the parts install ant the same time, and then get it tuned on a dyno.
