Hey guys, I have been searching and searching for ways to increase my power and performance on my 2007 Ford Escape XLT. Its the XLT Sport package w/ V6 engine, and AWD. I have found a few things as far as the guy who made his own intake (i believe he is on this forum), as well and the Gibson exhaust systems. But does anyone else know where i could get more power and performance out of my SUV?? (i.e.; professional intake, exhaust, headers, throttle body, possibly a chip, anything else that will boost performance and fuel economy and power)

Thanks guys,

Happy Valentines day too

Kev

$$$$$$$$$$ just look up whatever engine you have then go from there. there are turbos available for all the DuraTec V6's and I can't remember what else. Any good mechanic can tell you several options. As far as the new exhaust goes be careful and do lots of research. The engineer who works on my "E" said 99.9% of the ads are are not true because they are all done in a controlled environment. He did mention on that he likes and if you'd like I can get the name for you..

If you haven't looked into the Xcal-3 that might be a good idea. Comments in the thread unanimously say that $ for $ it's hands down the best mod you can make to your Escape. Intake/exhaust are recommended prior to this though.

You can easily count on at least $1200 in 3 items: intake, exhaust and Xcal-3. The sky is the limit, there's a turbocharged (or was turbocharged) Escape member floating around on here and plenty of others with the know-how to get your ride up and running how you want it to.
