First let the light dry itself outside - you probably still have enough sun in Florida to do that. Then clean the seam and use a tube of black caulking to go around the seam. You can buy the caulking at a hardware store.

I have the same problem on one of my other cars. I tried the method Squishy said but no luck. Hopefully you'll have better luck. On my car, the light bulb has an o'ring around it also. Not sure how the Escapes are setup but if there is an o'ring, make sure it's in good shape also. Good luck.
