hey everyone here is yet another newbie question. Can someone PLEASE tell me how to remove the headrests from my 2008 escape. The fronts come to a stop at the top. I'm recieving new seat covers and headrest removal is needed for install.

Unless they changed it you mash in that button at the base of one of the post retainers and it releases.

You have to remove that button (at least that's what I did). I recently ground down the little nubbins on all posts -- so the headrests sit flush. I stuck a tiny screwdriver or paper clip in the hole, to remove that clip on the base. I think there was a "how-to" on the other site.
