HELP!All of a Sudden Escape Creaking & Squeaking

Estelle, I'm not sure where you were looking, but the 2011 and 2012 are most definitely available with the V6. The 2013 (which isn't on sale yet and won't be until Spring/ Summer 2012) will not have a V6 option.

Are you looking online or on your local dealer's lot?

P.S. I would encourage you to at least try the new 4-cylinder before you automatically go for the V6. I have the V6 myself and probably would take the 4-cylinder if I had to buy again tomorrow for the fuel economy benefits. Then again, if your Escape only has 27K miles over 10 years, you probably don't drive enough to be concerned about fuel economy. Anyway, the new 4-cylinder engine and 6-speed automatic in the 2009-2012 models reportedly have about as much punch as the older V6 and 4-speed automatic drivetrain.
