Hi, im new to this site and i was wondering if anyone can help me on my quest to figure out what kind of decks i can fit into my 2001 escape XLT. i was looking at a couple in-dash video decks(not a big fan of the flip out ones) and i was wondering what is the biggest size possible to fit into the space? I was looking into getting something with about a 6.5" screen but all the vehicles i saw on http://www.cardomain.com had nothing of that sort!

Will a double din deck fit in my car?

yes you can fit a double din in the escape. You will need to trim some of the plastic that is behind the center trim panel. It should just fit in there. There is a lot of room to stash sat. radio receivers and wires in the dash too. I had a Mitsubishi 3000gt(I miss her) and that thing was horrible I could barely get the radio in there then I had the sat radio receiver and I had to smash it in there. Good luck its not too much work. I'll probably be doing a double din this summer.

Welcome - Lots of us are running Kenwood DNX 51XX/71XX series, but you can effectively run any double-din unit.
