Sorry if this question has been answered already; I did a search but can't seem to find a straight answer.

I want to install HID lights on my 07, can someone please tell me if I will require a relay to do so? I live in Canada so I have daytime running lights. I am ok with my headlights being on full all the time if need be. Do the DRLs pulse off the high or low beams?

Can anyone recommend a reputable dealer for HIDs?

Thanks for all your help!

I have just installed a pair of 55W H11 HID's for my '07 and I ended up having to order a relay harness. When I installed them, they worked fine until I started to drive and then would brake and the lights would flicker and then the right side would go out. Came to the conclusion that the ampage and voltage was being drawn to low for the HID's when things were turned on (heater, defroster, brake lights when stopping) because most have a low voltage shut off to protect the bulb and ballast from going out prematurely. I have yet to get the relay harness but when I talked to others who had the problem I had, they seemed to come to the same conclusion. Hope this helps.

Awesome, totally helps. Thanks!

Where did you order yours from? Does the relay just make it so your headlights are on all the time? Obviously we need to have DRLs on here so I would be fine with that.

I was going to get them from DDMtuning.com because they were the cheapest and some of my friends had bought from them and liked them. However, there is a backlog of around 500 orders so I decided not to wait and ordered from HIDGEEKS.com. H11's 55W Slim Ballast was $66 US. It included a relay harness, screws and/or zip ties and a troubleshooting page. Since I don't have DRL's, I'm not entirely sure if that is all you need. But I'd give them a call and find out if you need anything else.

Sorry, forgot to also say, that I only have the standard switch for the parking and headlights. I don't have an automatic switch. As far as the DRL's running all the time on the HID's, I have no idea. I would assume, like all GM cars in America, DRL's run off the headlight at 7-10 watts. Is it mandatory to always have DRL's in Canada? In the US, we just pull the DRL fuse.

Right on, I'll check them out.

Ya it's Canadian law to have DRLs and to be honest I agree with it for the most part, there are just too many idiot drivers out there so the earlier you can see one of them coming your way the better.

Thanks for the info!
