Horrific vehicle accident brings West Yorkshire to a halt

Well, tragic really, esp since 2 people sadly died, and the knock on effects were that just about all the works/school bus routes that we do at work either got cancelled, or delayed for up to 4 hours, indeed my journey to work (normally 10-15 minutes) took 2 1/2 hours  , and the roads are even now still busy (22:45 PM).....

The link explains it better than I can

Man the picture in the story is bad. God be with those poor folks involved. When those things happen it is a real wake up call. :shades:
Omg, how awful. :(

Ditto.
Not much fun there, that's for sure. :worry:
Well, according to the news, the 2 people whom died in the van were brothers aged in thier early 50's, who lived in Leeds.
The truck driver is critically ill, as are the other drivers involved.

Thankfully, accidents of this nature are very rare, as our motorway network is statistically the safest form of road, but this particular stretch of the M62 is the busiest road in the whole of Britain, linking the West and East coast.

The sad thing is, however, there has now been 5 accidents at this location, caused by people "gawping" at the scene of the tragidy, rather than concentrating on their driving.... :wall:
