How do you remove the tail light on an 08 XLT? I only see two screws on the tail light when I open the hatch. If I unscrew them I can not remove the light. I thought there was 4 but I can not see the other two if there is.
What am I missing?

Thanks

If you have a set of nylon trim removal tools (similar to these), you can place the tool as a wedge in the gap between the taillight assembly and the body (near the pin) and just hit the tool quickly at the bend with the palm of your hand - do it for the top and bottom, and the pins should pop right out without damaging, denting or scratching anything. I use the second tool from the right, works like a charm.

Just don't scratch the paint. Personally, I wouldn't use pry tools of any kind, even if they're not metal, but that's just me.

Another tip: try to remove the tail lamp assembly in warm weather or in a heated garage if possible. The nylon and polyethylene grommets that secure the rear tail lamp metal pins are much more pliable when warm.
