How many quarts of motor oil in 2009 4 Cyl. 2.5L escape?

On page 307 of the online owner's manual, it says:

2.5L engine......5.3 quarts........Motorcraft SAE 5W-20.......XO-5W20-QSP (US)
.....................(5.0 liters)........Premium Synthetic............CXO-5W20-LSP12 (CANADA)
...........................................Blend Motor Oil (US)..........WSS-M2C930-A with API
................................................................................Certification Mark
...........................................Motorcraft SAE 5W-20
...........................................Super Premium Motor
...........................................Oil (Canada) (2)

(2) Use of synthetic or synthetic blend motor oil is not mandatory. Engine oil need only meet the requirements of Ford specification WSS-M2C930-A and the API Certification mark.
