I broke down and ordered my TOP-R struts

will do a full review on them once I receive them. It was tuff for my pride to order an import off-road strut but I just couldn't figure out a way to get the feel I wanted with the Motorcraft, KYB or Monroe strut. I'll also have a little more travel and another inch of lift plus the lift I just added so all together I'll have a little less then 3" of lift.

could you provide some more info on these TOP-R struts??
http://www.giz.com.tw/english/top-r.php

I'm paying 220 for the set plus 172.00 for shipping. I've followed the rally Top R team as best I can via internet and it seems to be a decent product. I've already purchased the springs from Canuck Motorsports approx 3 years ago and I'm very happy with the out come of the springs when I added the coil stabilizers. But After trying to develop a set of struts with an engineer for the past 2 years it's cheaper to purchase these.
Glad you are finally making progress. I hope the struts meet (or better yet, exceed) your expectations :thumb:
I hope so. Other wise it's just continue experimenting with stabilizers...
Well done megascape.
I think the price is great for what you are getting.
Congratulations.
Very cool, look forward to hearing how they work out for you.

Oh, and Pics are encouraged! :D
mega, it's okay. The company is Taiwanese/TAIWAN-based... not Chinese/CHINA-based. You should be okay

My Chinese and Taiwanese friends like to give each other crap about the 'small' and 'large' differences between the two.

(I'm Taiwanese.)

And it looks like the company is based outside a city that I visited a couple times while my dad's parents were still around. So, if they fail, I'll bring them back for you. :D
Tang your awesome...Being a complete union guy it's difficult when our economy is trash right now to purchase anything made outside North America. Some times it's difficult due to being so limited you know what I mean...Thanks all and I'll post pics once they arrive and I install them..
Not sure how long shipping takes but the struts have been completed and were sent out today.. I think I may have to purchase new pitman arms. If I recall right the "E" can be lifted 2" without changing the camber but 3" I'm kind of concerned about that.
That is correct.
2" is the limit and that also involves changing the sway bar link-arms.
3" is too much for the lower control arm to take and the brake lines need to be changed with longer ones. The CV joints too, will take quite a punisment especially the inner ones unless much larger diameter tires are used for compensating their tolerance angle.
Panos, thanks for the confirmation. Just talked to TOP-R and the struts should be here in 8 days. That will allow me approx 25 days before the SLAB Run to get everything dialed in. I have an idea !! I saw that TOP-R have adjustable PITMAN ARMs and I think I may just cut mine, and weld a hardened piece of all-thread to meet the needs of the struts. The rest of the fixes I'll have Bob at 4X4 Custom Autoworks do. I really dislike working with brake lines. I constantly fail getting all the air out of the lines.. :wall:

I am confident that eventually you shall figure everything out.It might take you some effort and time but what you are about to do is totally new to this specific car.I for one will benefit from your work.
Please be kind with what you are going to charge me when I start asking for the specifics.
All the best and Happy New Year.
