Just realized I'm the only user online right now. I feel like a late night DJ in a small market. So I will entertain myself by listing all the cars I have ever owned...in order.

1978 Ford Pinto wagon (bright orange!)
1968 Volvo 144S (B18B engine with twin SU carbs) 1 of 2 cars I got from my great uncle.
1986 Ford Escort GT (drove it 150,000+ miles then sold it to a Ford mechanic. Great car!)
1969 Austin Healey Sprite (faster than a French border guard with tracks shoes and a coupon for American cigarettes).
1959 Simca Aronde Plein Ciel (apparently that's French for 'as is, where is' -- don't ask)
1993 Subaru Loyale 4WD wagon (as bland a car as was ever produced)
1996 Subaru Legacy AWD wagon (the AWD stunk - I spun this car 360 degrees at 20 mph - twice!)
1988 Plymouth Horizon (2nd car I got from my great uncle. Got it in '96 with just 18,000 miles on it. Best car I ever drove in snow - hands down).
2001 Ford Escape - love it
2003 VW New Beetle convertible - surprised my wife with this for her 40th B-day. The rest of the guys in my neighborhood hate me now.
1976 MGB roadster. Great fun, drive it work every day and enter it in car shows on the weekends. Great parts availability, great online support (MGExperience.net).

I'm thinking that's the complete list...

 a mate of mine has one of them. He got bogged in it the other day as he thinks it is a "Real" 4x4.

The Tribute came to the rescue and tugged out the poor Loyale....

Quite a impressive list there (appart from the Loyale)

I know how you feel, at times on here its like being a stranger in a Wild west town, all it needs is for JPark to programme some tumbleweed graphics to blow across the screen when all is quiet !!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

However, welcome to the site, 10kpharo, hope you like it here.

I know how you feel, at times I can't sleep and will get up to see if anyone else is having the same problem and find that the nightlight is on and nobody is around. I went to sleep early last night. I had to go to work (where I am now).
Oh, and welcome to the city, a little suburban and quiet at times, but....

Welcome to E-C!

You won't always be alone. Some weeks I get the midshift at work. Once I have completed all my job tasks for the night I log on and visit my favorite sites. This would be one of them. I may pop up sometime when you least expect it!
I haven't post them here before, but this is as good a time as any. Here are some of my rides from the past. Not totally inclusive.

62 Ford Fairlane
64 VW Kombi
68 Ford Falcon Futura
59 Rambler American Wagon (It was a nice shade of Pink! We called it the Panther.)
71 Mercury Marquis (could not kill this car, I think someone still is driving it!)
67 Mercedes 280 SEL (POS Potato Cart)
74 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT
78 Dodge 15 passenger Van (don't ask, I just needed more seats...)
80 Ford Fiesta
82 Ford F-100 XLT Lariat (traded with Capri for 85 F-150 S/C)
84 Mercury Capri RS (100K + miles, traded and got back over half the $$)
84 Buick Century Station Wagon (Total POS, my father in law bought my wife.)
89 Ford Crown Victoria (Shot the Buick and bought this new for my wife)
85 Ford F-150 Super Cab XLT Lariat (died after about 250K)
83 BMW 533i (It was maroon, so we called it the FluemWagon.)
94 Ford F-150 XL (Still have this one)
94 Ford Explorer XL (Died after 278K miles, greatly missed. Not perfect, but seems so right)
98 Ford Escort Sport ("replaced" the Crown Vic)
01 Ford ZX2 Sport (sons' new car, now with 170K miles)
01 Ford Mustang Bullitt (My toy, for shows, shines, and wasting carbon credits)

Those were the keepers. I bought and sold plenty (maybe as many as posted above) of others that I just couldn't stand after getting them home. They were all forgetable, and I'm not going to try and remember what they were just to post them up.

Yep, I have owned 2 Suzuki Vitara's, and I really liked them, indeed I'm on the lookout for another one now, for my wife to learn to drive in.
And, suprisingly enough, they were both better off road, cheaper to run, and easier to obtain parts for, than the Maverick, just a shame that they are small, and rather uncomfortable on long journeys.
The late 1990's restyle did them no favours whatsover, though, which is why I have a Maverick, and not a Vitara.
Anyway Big Chris, are you actually admitting that you were the person who bought the Renault Fuego??
Nice looking car, but a terrible reputation for unreliability and durability :worry:

To be fair, I was 17, just passed my test in Feb '92. The first one (which had no reverse gear) cost me £40. Ran it for about 3/4 months until all the brake fluid drained out and I drove into the back of my friend. :wall: (Relatively low speed, so no damage). My parents made me scrap it after that. And I got the Land Rover for £500 in mid '92.

The 2nd one cost me £200, that was a quick car. Only bought it as a runaround when the Land Rover went in the shop for a new gearbox, because the guy doing the work took ages. Had it about 6 months, it failed the M.O.T so I scrapped that one too.

Once I got the Land Rover back I ran it for a couple of years until it became to expensive to continue to run/repair. Then I bought the Cavalier (Total piece of s***. Put me off Vauxhall for life)

After having the Cavalier a year, I got the Sierra and have been a Ford man ever since. :thumb:

I hope and pray neither of your Vitaras were pink with a white roof and two Rhinos humping on the spare wheel cover!! :barf:
