I hope the Camera is the way you make your living. Other wise that is an awful expensive pastime. I will however love to see some of the pictures you take. Good Luck :shades:

Nevermind the camera... I want that lens!!! Good luck with it. I'd love to see some of the results from that combo. What are you planning on shooting with that?

Sports, mainly soccer and baseball, but I'm going to throw in the occasional bird (both avian and human) in there as well.... :)

Hello the2belo.
WOW! I love the, lens technology on your Nikon D3. :shades:
Anyway welcome to the " NIKON " club.
My camera is the entry level ' Nikon D40X '.

I am quite happy with it, as a beginners DSLR camera.
Chose it because of the price, as it suited my budget.
But i respect that, your ' Nikon D3 ' is the professional class model.
Congratulations!. :thumb:

Another member on this forum, has the later model " CANON " DSLR.
My eldest brother has a " PENTAX ".
He uses a few different type lenses.
Took him years to collect the lens, because of the cost factor.

With that lens attached, the assembly together cost more than my entire Escape did.

I'm still sort of freaking out about that fact.
It seems that you might have that backwards. It looks like the camera is attached to the lens. It sure is pretty, either way. :thumb:

Yeah, it sort of reminds me of a dickie bird riding on the back of a rhinoceros. And this is no small camera -- it weighs over 2 pounds all by itself.
