Sounds like a terrible experience with the dealer! But, you got a really nice Escape out of the deal, no? It looks great, but we want to see more!
Consider it a life lesson learned. Better to arrange for your financing independent of the dealer and have that in place before you get that. That way you can't get sucked into that kind of shady dealing with a dishonest car salesman.BORN FREE said:Yeah it did turn out good at the end, but they should've been honest with me the first time I sat down with the sales manager and told me these are optional instead of making me plead and beg that the price was too much for a used Escape ($18,500) thats without the finance charges yet. I was willing to pay between 13,500 and 14,500 I told the sales guy can you do something for me like take something off, but he lied to me, he said that "if I take it off the bank will deny me because it is pending and they agree on that I have to purchase the sodmize and warranty" come to find later that sodimize I think was a product like a car protection like a wax to protect the paint it cost about $623 the sales guy name Chris told me "the bank told me I have to take it so the resale vaule of the car would be better for them if I default on the loan", I told them "I never heard of this before".Kiki said:Sounds like a terrible experience with the dealer!
