Hey, welcome to E-C!
You can tell right away if you'll be able to do this.
First, you'll need to take a look at the connector to the instrument cluster. On 2005-2007 models, it's a 32-pin connector.
* If the connector has 25 wires, including a GRAY with ORANGE STRIPE wire and a TAN with ORANGE STRIPE wire, you do have the wiring needed for the cluster's left-side message center.
* If the connector has only 23 or fewer wires, your Escape isn't wired for the message center, although you could buy an entire harness to add the message center, or at least two of the wires leading to the buttons in the center of the instrument panel.
Second, you'll need a 2007 cluster with the message center. You'll need to have it "flashed" at the dealer so that your mileage matches your current cluster.
Third, you'll need the set of buttons that's part of the center stack. If you have the 25 wires on the cluster connector, remove the center stack and see if there are two six-pin connectors that aren't plugged into anything, right next to the hazard switch. If you have those, you can plug them directly into the message center switches. You'll lose the small pocket next to the hazard switch.
Since the parts are expensive, try to find a wrecked Escape with the cluster and switches. I can get the part numbers if you want to buy the parts new.
