I called Ford and they told me I don't have a recall or TSB for my transmission based on my VIN#.
It's a 2009 XLT 3.0 manufactured 4/09 in Kansas City, how could I not have the transmission issue especially when I'm having troubles with it?
Anyways, I set an appointment to have the PCM flashed or software updated to fix the transmission flares, revving and late shifts.
Ford basically told me they'd accept the $109 service fee, but there probably won't be any updates or anything.
WHAT?
There absolutely has to be an update for every 6F35, right? This tranny will fail if an update doesn't fix it. Accelerating it winds up to 3000 RPM and is delayed for shifting etc.. Just functioning horribly. My Taurus with 220k miles shifts 100 times better, I don't even like driving the Escape. Seems like a waste of money for it to just sit. I shouldn't like my 04' worn Taurus better!
