Genuine lambswool , in context of car seat covers is versatile. Very cosy in the winter because of the insulation characteristics. Also during the summer it is comfortable. :) There are choices in how woolen seat covers are cleaned. They can be vacuum cleaned. Another option is your local dry cleaning store. Woolen car seats can be washed with warm water.

Personally i would not recommend hot water, because this may have undesirable results. For example wool being a natural fibre, the hot water may induce excess shrinkage.

I had some in a 67 Mercedes that I owned back in the day. Very comfy, as you say, but then I lived in West Germany at the time, and things were a bit cooler. I'm not sure I would want them in any car around here, too toasty!
