I don't like the "universal fit" part of the description. Probably means you would have to wire it in yourself, and then the base wouldn't make a good seal against the housing. You will probably end up with moisture buildup in the housing unless you seal it up good (exterior silicone sealant?).

So it is a direct fit for our Escapes?

The 01-04 Escapes will probably need a resistor or a "dummy bulb" for the turn signal. I am not certain about the 2005+s, as I think their flash rates are controlled by the GEM. I am not sure how that works.

Darn. LEDs do not respond to the voltage changes used to switch between running lights and brake lights do they? Did not think of that. :doh:
