Yeah, the funky turn signals would look weird if you use the brakes a lot, and you'd need to run wires from one side of the car to the other.

Wired up on each side, they'd work just like the rear lamps on the current Charger.

Now I also read something about a certain peice of this install getting warm after being on for awhile? What is that and should I be concerned? :bang:

Yup, the load resistors for the turn signals (which you will need to buy), but you won't need to be too concerned (read on).

Since the new lamps are LEDs, they draw so much less power that the SJB will think one of the bulbs is burned out, and it will flash the signals faster. Do a search on turn signal load resistors, and see if you can find any that are encased, or at least designed to handle the load without melting anything around them. Also, since these will be used only on a separate turn signal feed, they won't get anywhere near as warm as they would if they were used in place of a combination stop/turn signal.

OK JP I just got them in yesterday. I went to autozone and they didn't have the load resistors. Do you know a local place I can goto to get the load resistors and what kind should I get?

Yup...I'm lost...JP I need your help buddy. I have cut wires and don't know what to do with them. I thought I could follow what you had wrote up before but the wires do not match lol :)

This is what I have:

Left Escape Wires
Reverse
Black/Pink
Black

Turn Signal
Green/White
Black

Stop Lamp
Black
Brown
Blue/Black

Right Escape Wires
Reverse
Black/Pink
Black

Turn Signal
Black
White/Blue

Stop Lamp
Black
Brown
Red/Green

On the LED Tail Light Assembly
Reverse
Red/Blue
Black

Stop Lamp/Turn Signal
Green/White (Also is attached to Black in Reverse harness)
Light Green
Brown
Black (Also attached to Red/Blue in Reverse harness)

What do I do with these wires? :p

On one assembly I snipped the wires for the reverse lights not thinking if I actually needed to or not. So keep in mind that I can still reattach these if needed. Thanks!

SUCCESS!!!

So I finally figured it all out. Now all that I need is those darn resistors to slow down the turn signal flashes.

This is what I did:

OEM Wires ---> LED Assembly Wires

Left Escape Wires
Reverse
Black/Pink ---> Red/Blue (Reverse Harness)
Black ---> Black (Reverse Harness)

Turn Signal
Green/White ---> Green/White
Black ---> Black

Stop Lamp
Black ---> Black
Brown ---> Brown
Blue/Black ---> Light Green

Right Escape Wires
Reverse
Black/Pink ---> Red/Blue (Reverse Harness)
Black ---> Black (Reverse Harness)

Turn Signal
Black ---> Black
White/Blue ---> Green/White

Stop Lamp
Black ---> Black
Brown ---> Brown
Red/Green ---> Light Green

Scott, it look nice I can't wait till mine gets here. Was is difficult to installed? What else did you mod to make it work properly? Reverse amber light has to be remove and replace with a back up light, what brand did you use is it bright enough to see when you are backup at night?

Thanks man...It wasn't hard to install at all. The hardest part was figuring it out without the wiring schematics. Hopefully my writeup will help you guys out. I used a #921 bulb as JP recommended. I have not tried it at night yet so I do not know if it is good enough to see at night. The brand is Sylvania.

So I found these on a Ford Superduty forum:

Resistors:

Clicky

Flasher:

Clicky

What do you think? JP I know you showed me some different things on Amazon but I saw these and they are cheaper :)

The resistors are perfect.

You don't need a flasher, since the 2005+ Escape lamps are flashed by the SJB. The clicking sound is produced by a relay in the instrument cluster.

Order up.

:D
