You forgot one:

When a man and woman walk down the isle to be wed, they each have one thought. He hopes that she'll never change and she can't wait to get started.
Aah, but the key to a successful marriage is in realizing that you can't change someone else. Also, compromise, communicating, and a whole lot of tongue biting !! :D

...and that's why more then 50% of marriages fail.
Very true . Unfortunately, some people do not take their marriage vows seriously and are not willing to give what it takes for it to be successful. They holler divorce at the drop of a hat. This is not the case in all instances, and some are much better off not being together.

Okay, I don't want to get serious here !! Besides, I'm still laughing over JP's reply !!

 Yup, liked that last one !! Although, I can see the flip side as hubby and I will be married 22 years come August 30th. :thumb: :)
Got me beat. It'll be 6 years on 24th August for us.

Of course, we were engaged for 5 years before getting hitched, and dating for 5 years before getting engaged.

Oh how things change. 16 years ago it was all

Now it's :boring: :boring: :boring:

 ;)
Well, we dated / shacked up ( yup, lived in sin for a while ) for almost five years before getting hitched.

Surely it's not ALL :boring: :boring: :boring: now, is it ?

Y'all have been together for a good while too, Chris !! :thumb: :thumb:

Hmmm, I got divorced on my 22nd anniversary. You're never out of the woods.
This is true. Nothing is ever promised in this life.
We have been to hell and back and we are still together.
Our marriage is a strong one and we are very much committed to each other. I am still very much in love with him and am quite certain that he feels the same. :)
