So have you seen the Chevy commercial making fun of a short guy, err verticaly challenged, for leaving his "man step" down on his Ford. Then says something stupid like Do you want a "man step" or a Chevy, with a 5y 100k (?? what ever it is) power train warrenty.

OK I'm a Ford man obviously, but I really don't get this one! Make fun of something you don't have, but I think totaly rocks, then say your truck is crap because it needs a longer warrenty because it'll break down! Usually car bashing is something to compare, HP, towing, noise, etc, not a cool feature to a nothing....

IMHO, Chitty's endless need to compare themselves to everyone else is their biggest problem. It reeks of insecurity.

And having Howie Long laugh at competing (and usually better) cars makes him look like he's jealous. All in all, it's a stupid ad campaign.

Just my .02.

Just blowing out someone else's candle so your's will look brighter. You see it everywhere. Not cool. Try selling a truck/product on it's own merits.

I tried one out at the car show and it was very, very useful and quite sturdy. I used to like Howie Long until he became an annoying pregame show announcer, now he plays his a-hole persona all the time. Advertisers and TV execs apparently think that's what people want to see....
