Not sure if I can describe this very well but here goes.

It's a device that plugs into the power outlet and then the MP3 player is hooked up to it and you tune the radio to certain spot and the MP3 plays through the stock head unit.

Make any sense?

Sorry for the vagueness, just wanted to know what you call it so I can shop for one. You've helped a great deal thanks.

Just remember they suck for sound quality and reception at times.

If it is all you can do, then by all means go for it. But if there is another way with your HU I'd suggest that first.

Yeah, I've heard it's not the best solution.

No such animal. But you can check eBay for adapters to see if one fits your deck style, and fits an Ipod. There are guys out there that make things to do it.
